I had to scan it in 2 parts and piece them together in photoshop because the our scanner is only for 8.5" x 11", this piece was done on Bristol 11"x14". The pencils were pretty messy. SR is going to watercolor this sometime after finals. It was inked with micron pens and brush. This was a going away present for Mike, but it looks like it is turning into a project. Hopefully by the time he gets back in June we will have a nice piece for him. Next step is going to be coloring a comp for SR studios. My inspirations for this were 70-80's cartoons by Filmation, Ruby Spears, like Tarzan Lrod of the Jungle, Thundarr The Barbarian, Blackstar, Bravestarr....
Here is a piece I did for Mike. I asked if he wanted a Nightwing piece or something but he wanted anything to do with my Filipino/Lapu-Lapu/ character. I was also talking to Jay about 80's cartoons, so I came up with an 80's cartoon that I would have liked to have seen.
The basic concept of the OrbiTee is visual representation of the position and tilt of the earth during certain times of the year, in regards to the sun. These parameters determine the seasons, and amount of daylight we humans get. Since the sun is in the middle of the shirt, it show that the earth revolves around you...
